MI:GREAT

MI:GREAT is a park cleanup event that takes place at local parks throughout Michigan in the Spring, right before the birds migrate back for the summer. Families, friends, and neighbors will all come together to clean up trash, fix up the facilities, and overall improve the appearance of the park. The system includes semi-permanent and permanent signage that reflects the educational purpose of this event. The color palette is bright, yet non-disruptive. The origami-esque bird icon is the main graphic symbol, along with the triangle, which is representative of a skein (the triangle formation birds migrate in).

MI:GREAT was made in collaboration with fellow MSU alumna + graphic designer, Melissa Utykanski. This system is in the permanent archives of the United Designs Alliance.
